Subject Leader for Computing – Alivia Green

My name is Alivia Green, and I am the Computing Subject Leader. This is my second year leading Computing, and I am excited to support and inspire our children as they develop their computing knowledge, skills, and understanding.

I am passionate about areas of Computing such as coding, digital creativity, and online safety. In today’s digital world, it is important that children learn to use technology confidently, responsibly, and creatively.

My vision reflects the aims of the National Curriculum. I want children to become digitally literate, understand the basics of computer science, and use technology to solve problems and express themselves. This includes developing skills in programming, creating digital content, understanding digital systems, and staying safe online.

Through engaging and challenging lessons, I aim to foster curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong interest in technology. I want children to develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills while exploring a range of digital tools.

Most importantly, I want children to understand the value of Computing in everyday life and enjoy their learning. My goal is for every child to leave our school with the confidence, knowledge, and skills they need for the future.
