Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is the Admissions Authority for Scartho Gateway Academy.

Scartho Gateway Academy, as a non-selective and inclusive Academy, welcomes applications from all parents and carers for children regardless of their aptitude or ability. The Board of Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is the Admissions Authority with the Local Governing Body responsible for the administration of the admissions arrangements. The Board remains responsible for any admissions appeals.

Applications into Reception in September 2026 is coordinated by North East Lincolnshire Council. Applications for first entry to Reception need to be made to the child's home local authority. The Academy is unable to accept direct applications into this year group until the year group becomes on roll on 1 September 2026, which at this point becomes an in-year admission.

The closing date for Reception is 15 January. However, you can still apply by contacting North East Lincolnshire Council after this date.

Waiting List

A waiting list for new intake students is held until 31 December and after this point no waiting lists are held.

Admission Appeal

If your application has been refused you have the right to appeal against this decision to an Independent Appeals Panel.

Admissions into Years 1 – 4 - In Year Applications

The Governors welcome applications to Years 1 - 4. There are no classes for Years 5 and 6 in the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

An application form can be completed online or you can request a paper form by telephoning 01472 582 317 or from reception at Scartho Gateway Academy, Matthew Telford Park, GRIMSBY, DN33 3EP

Applications submitted via the local authority will be considered equally to those made directly.

Applications will be accepted if there is space in the class / year group applied for. The Academy will follow the oversubscription criteria detailed in the Admissions Policy if there are more applications than there are places in a class / year group.
