KS2 pupils celebrate success at Kurling event
Four pupils from Scartho Gateway Academy recently took part in an exciting KS2 Kurling event, stepping confidently out of their comfort zones to try something new.

Throughout the morning, the children worked brilliantly as a team, demonstrating fantastic cooperation, encouragement and resilience.
With big smiles on their faces, they supported one another every step of the way, showing excellent sportsmanship and determination in each round.
Kurling requires focus, precision and strategy, and our pupils rose to the challenge superbly.
Their hard work and teamwork truly paid off as they went on to win their group of four — an outstanding achievement that reflects their positive attitude and commitment.
As a result of their success, the team has now been invited back to compete in the finals.
This is a fantastic accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school.
The pupils were delighted with their experience. Lyla shared: “I loved taking part and getting a medal.”
Harley added: “I enjoyed rolling the stones and trying to get them as close to the target as possible.”
Well done to all four pupils — we wish you the very best of luck in the finals!
