Scartho Gateway Academy Rocks!

Scartho Gateway Academy was buzzing with excitement recently as we officially launched the Times Tables Rockstars programme with a whole-school Rockstar Day!

From the moment the gates opened, children and staff arrived transformed into rock legends, complete with leather jackets, colourful wigs, sunglasses, face paint, and inflatable guitars, ready to celebrate the power of multiplication in true Rockstar style.

Classrooms and corridors were filled with energy as pupils took part in a full day of fun, fast-paced times-tables activities designed to build confidence, fluency, and a real love of maths.

Throughout the day, children enjoyed everything from classroom “battle” sessions to lightning-round quizzes and team challenges, all set to the sound of upbeat music to keep the Rockstar spirit alive. Friendly competition encouraged everyone to aim high, cheer each other on, and celebrate their successes.

The event not only marked our school’s official launch of the Times Tables Rock Stars platform but also introduced our exciting next step: we are now enrolled in the upcoming national “England Rocks” times-tables competition!

Pupils can’t wait to put their skills to the test against schools across the country, and the enthusiasm shown on launch day proves they’re more than ready for the challenge.

It was fantastic to see both children and adults embracing the theme so wholeheartedly. The creativity of the outfits, the positive atmosphere in classrooms, and the determination shown in every activity made the day truly memorable.

A huge thank-you goes to all pupils, parents, and staff who dressed up, took part, and helped bring TTRS Launch Day to life. We are incredibly proud of our budding mathematicians and can’t wait to watch them continue their journey to becoming true Times Tables Rock Stars!
